The short version

Everyone you see in BTT is AI-generated. What is real is what you respond to, and we treat that as sensitive data. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never share it with ad networks. There are no third-party ad SDKs in this app.

What we store

  • Your mood prompts, who you asked to see, and each Heart or Pass with the card’s attributes and how long you looked.
  • Chat and voice transcripts with personas. Persona voice audio is kept for 7 days, then deleted.
  • Reflections, ratings, and journal answers.
  • Account details: a device identifier, and an email address if you add one. We check your date of birth once at the door and do not store it.
  • For adult mode only: a pass/fail result and a reference number from our age-verification provider. We never receive or store your selfie or ID.
  • Generated images, stored privately and served through expiring links.

What we use it for

Choosing the next card, keeping personas in character, writing your reflection, enforcing free limits, safety review, and fixing bugs. Reflections are self-inquiry, not therapy; nothing here is a diagnosis.

Who processes it

Image generation, language models, voice, email, and hosting run on third-party infrastructure under contract with us. Persona chat is routed only to model providers that do not retain prompts. We do not send your identity to those providers, only the content needed to serve the request.

Your controls

  • Export everything as JSON from your account page.
  • Delete your account: images are removed immediately and every record is hard-deleted within 30 days.
  • Set a break reminder so the app does not become the loop it critiques.
  • Report any image or message; intimate-imagery reports are actioned within 48 hours.

Safety and legal

We block prompts and images involving minors, real people, or non-consent, and we may retain safety event logs (hashed) and act on reports as the law requires. This app is for adults 21 and over.
